“Transition Times” Monthly Information Sessions for Families

Transition Times offers informational meetings to the families and caregivers of individuals with developmental differences who are transitioning to adult life.  PCR collaborates with The Arc Montgomery County and MC Transitions to provide discussions on services and resources available, as well as the range of issues facing transitioning youth and their families. Participants hear how other families have faced challenges or solved a problem;  they have a chance to network about opportunities in the community; and they support and are supported by other families, as well as make social connections.

May 22nd– Guardianship and Its Alternatives

Our May 22nd program was in virtual format on this topic of interest to many of our families.  For more information, and to view the video presentation prepared by attorney Ellen A. February 12th– An Update from DDA

On Wednesday, February 12th, officials from the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration were the featured presenters at PCR’s Transition Times program.  Please click HERE to view an outline of the presentation by DDA officials Nick Burton, Patricia Sastoque, and Rhonda Workman about DDA-funded services and programs for Maryland children and adults with intellectual disabilities/developmental differences.
